Are you feeling down about the dark season? Write a poem about the Moon and participate in the Pihlajamäki Poetry Challenge. Three poems will be awarded a prize worth 100 euros. In addition, the selected poems will be included in the Pihlajamäki Book Fair on 11 November.
SEND YOUR POEM by November 5th!
The moon is sometimes big, sometimes invisible. There are shadows and light in the moonlight. The moon's rotation is regulated by the oceans, emotions, and even "paths". What is your Moon? Poems can be free-form, with or without rhymes. A poem can also be lyrics for music, rap... People of all ages can participate. You can participate by sending a poem in writing or as a verbal recording to runohaaste@onnenlantti.fi
The submitted poems will be made into an exhibition that will tour Helsinki libraries during 2024.
The poetry challenge is inspired by the book My Friend Moon, created by Andreja Peklar and rhymed by Ulla Welin.
SEND YOUR POEM by November 5th!
