Onnenläntti Annual Review 2021
We'll add the December 2021 post here to the new pages blog, so you can get a little overview of our past year if you want! Read the original post here.
January & February
In January, Katja's company FinDe expanded and Tanja started working part-time in the company. This was the beginning of the mother-daughter company's journey together. The first big project was the publication of the November 2020 Irina and Nailon Piitkirjan bringing the book to the public's attention. The development of the online store (then www.lehmakirja.fi) that was created with the book took many hours of work and a few gray hairs.
March, April & May
Due to the global situation, exhibitions, the company's main business until then, were cancelled and our exhibition activities were on hold for the entire first half of the year. Energy was channeled elsewhere. In June, we found out where.
One of the highlights in April was the reading week, when we donated a class set of Irina and Nailon Piit books to three schools. So a total of 60 books were available for numerous children to read. It was absolutely wonderful to get feedback from the children about the books! In May, the name of the online store changed, and Happy birthday .

June
23.6 Katja's long-standing dream about cows interior design products saw the light of day. The first image in the products was chosen as a fitting tribute to Onnenläntti, Katja Korhonen's image "Happy Moment". On Midsummer's Eve, we spent wonderful family time at the cottage while photographing new products. A twinkle in the corner of our eye was also born Midsummer video . Mother-daughter company's highlight!
July & August
In July, summer photos were published: Rinnakkaiseloa, Ternimaitobaari and Lapinlehmä Vieno. The Onnenläntti brand found its way to people. The atmosphere of summer and accordingly the markets. We participated in the international large markets in Lappeenranta, Rauma and Tampere. We also visited many market days, for example in Salo, Pori, Ylänee, Rauma and Pyhee. Every day was full of several interesting encounters.
25.7 and 1.8 finally came the long-awaited break from the exhibition. "If Cows Could Talk" exhibition at Kaukolan Manor. Wonderful atmosphere, with a Baroque music concert. One of the most impressive exhibition venues so far. In August the Blog saw the light of day! Since then, more or less serious writing has been done here every Wednesday. 😊

September & October
With the onset of autumn, markets changed to fairs. The Asta Fair in Tampere was Onnenlänti's first fair. We were there together and it left a very good memory. The products aroused a lot of interest and Onnenlänti's goodie bags were sold out. The new autumn image "I am" was published in the online store at the end of September. In October, we took Candlesticks for sale. At the beginning of October, an e-book of Irina and Nailon Piit was also published. The e-book produced a lot of gray hairs from the beginning, even though it was initially thought to be an easy read...
The absolute highlight of October was the KoneAgria fair, which we were able to organize after a two-year break! One of the program items there was the “Cows at Work” exhibition that we built. Irina and Nailon Piit’s book was appreciated and we had many inspiring discussions. Katja was nervous about the reception of the interior design products among the professionals, but in vain. The interior design products and the Cows at Work exhibition aroused a lot of admiration.

November & December
The most important daily task has been marketing during the Christmas season. We learned and studied a lot about online advertising and the secrets of Facebook. The winter photos for Aamulypsylle and Yömyssy were published at the beginning of November. We wondered for a long time whether we would have the resources to bring new photos for the winter. Fortunately, we dared, because even though we are still nowhere near optimal in terms of sales, the photos have been very well liked and are a clear step forward. The Onnenläntti brand was strengthened and we created its own Facebook pages and in December a new one was also born @onnenlanttisinteriors Instagram account. There have been many highlights in December: Right at the beginning, a German-language online store was opened Find Central Europe. For Katja, the matter was surprisingly big on an emotional level. Activities in two home countries and a place where you can freely show off your enthusiasm for Finland. Another highlight has been the start of the 2022 exhibition activities. Although two large exhibitions in Germany have already been cancelled due to the pandemic, the summer exhibition schedule was confirmed for June/July 2022 in Kalajoki, Kokkola and Kausti!
Katja committed to guiding the world of producers in the Mynä-Mynä region. The aim is to work together with the region's producers to create a room where visitors can experience the many dimensions of the farm. A great ending to the 2021 production is Piia Tuominen's wordless e-book “First adventure” publishing. Wonderful book.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who has been involved in our year in some way. Thank you. The year has not been easy by any means, but as you can see in the review, there have been many highlights. The journey continues next year and we are already looking forward to what challenges and successes it will bring! The blog will be quiet over the holidays. Next publication 12.1.2022.
Merry Christmas and good energy into the New Year!
Wishing,
Katja and Tanya
